We Will NOT End the Year Exhausted
Rest is preparation. Not retreat. Not weakness. Sacred preparation.

What’s good friend!
I pray the holiday week has treated you well, and if it doesn't I will most certainly lift up a prayer for you! Listen, this is the time of year where everything and everybody starts pulling on us at the same time. Work wants a final push. Family wants presence. The world wants performance. And our bodies? Our bodies are whispering, “Hey… I can’t keep up..”
Tonight, I want to give you permission to listen to that whisper.
This season isn’t about sprinting to December 31st like you have something to prove. Remember I started preparing us for this very moment a few months ago.
It’s about integrating the lessons, blessings, stretch, and softness this year has already given you.
We forget this sometimes, but rest is not a reward… rest is preparation.
Rest is what clears the noise so your spirit can hear the next instruction.
Rest is what reminds your body that you are not meant to move from pressure, but from peace.
Rest is what keeps you aligned enough to actually receive what you’ve been praying for.
You don’t have to end the year exhausted to prove you gave it your all.
You can end the year centered. Whole. At peace. Connected to God.
And that counts too, more than you think.
So tonight’s entry is quiet on purpose.
We’re slowing down before December gets loud.

ask yourself softly…
Where in my life do I need rest before renewal?
What routine, relationship, expectation, or commitment has been running on fumes?
What could shift if I gave myself permission to pause?
What can I lay down so I can enter December with clarity instead of clutter?
Sometimes the reset you’re looking for starts with one honest pause.

Rest as Releasing
This year I learned in a big way that rest isn’t just physical friendship, it’s emotional, spiritual, and mental.
Sometimes rest looks like:
✨ Not explaining yourself again.
✨ Choosing silence over arguments.
✨ Lowering what you expect from people who keep showing you who they are.
✨ Logging off when your spirit says “that’s enough.”
✨ Letting God hold what you’ve been carrying alone.
This week, practice letting go of one thing that’s been weighing on you, even if it’s just a single thought.

I’d like you think of Rest being an act of faith, as a simple reminder that what’s meant for you won’t miss you.
When you rest, you’re not falling behind. You’re making room. You’re trusting God to keep what’s yours in motion while you breathe.
Rest says:
“I don’t have to grind for what grace has already aligned.”
“I don’t have to perform to be worthy.”
“I can slow down and still be on time.”
Let your rest preach for you this week and the rest of this year and prayerfully when you think of rest in 2025.

Before you go…
If you didn’t get a chance to join the 30 Days of Inner Alignment journey last month, don’t worry, I’ve bundled every reflection, mantra, and guided practice into one beautiful Inner Alignment Ebook.
It’s a gentle companion you can start anytime, move through at your own pace, and revisit whenever you need to reconnect with yourself.
Give yourself the gift of slowing down with intention to start whenever you’re ready because alignment doesn’t have an expiration date.
Okay friend… we step into the final month of 2025, I want you to choose one rest practice or a few to commit to every week in December. Some ideas:
A weekly morning with no alarms
A 30-minute Sunday reset with candles + soft music (heres a favorite youtube channel I love view here.)
A “no meeting” during your lunch hour
Phone on Do Not Disturb for the first hour of your day
A nightly prayer walk
One evening each week with zero obligations
Pick one. Commit gently. And let it nourish you.
