Let's Ride...

Trusting yourself enough to begin again

What’s Good Friend!

Listen, I have missed you… And though I haven’t actually kicked off the new year personally I’ve been reflecting about what I’ve been feeling internally.

Trusting oneself enough to get back on the horse this year. Not because it’s easy. Not because the road is clear. But because why absolutely not?

And to be frank, for some of us, actually many of us, that horse is saddle up and ready for you.

For me, Black history’s lesson at this age is about return… returning to the work, the vision, the self… even after rupture. Baby… Especially after rupture or stillness. BUT returning doing our own things, nothing and nobody else’s.

If you surrender to the wind, you can ride it.

This season, let’s ride, not rush.
Let’s trust what we know in our bones.
Move forward with intention, from memory, with courage.

Because history… our history… my history… isn’t only about where we have been, yall. It’s also about believing, again and again, that we’re allowed to continue.

Until next time :)

With love + intention,
